www.tolerance.org Here is an organisation that, like Cla'am Fest, also promotes community spirit. Tolerance.org is a principal online destination for people interested in dismantling bigotry and creating, in hate's stead, communities that value diversity.

The Reformation of Society. The abolition of slavery was William Wilberforce's first and foremost concern, however, he and his friends also had great compassion for the oppressed and poor. Wilberforce himself started or participated in 69 charities, including the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Society for the Betterment of the Poor. He also founded a number of charitable groups such as the British and Foreign Bible Society (now The Bible Society), among many others. Wilberforce believed in the reformation of society by promoting the dignity, respect and well-being of all the world’s inhabitants. His life in and out of Parliament was a testament to his beliefs. www.thekindnessoffensive.com The Kindness Offensive is the kind of community spirit and service that is enshrined in the Cla'am Fest manifesto. We applaud The Kindness Offensive and encourage everyone to think, be creative and imaginative and take part in visionary ideas of their own. Good citizenship and mutual respect can only encourage others to behave in a loving and caring reverance for life and the joy of living. If we treat others as we would like to be treated, we automatically make the world a better place to live in. Let us be examples to the whole world! TKO stated aims are: " to have fun, be kind and inspire as many people as possible to do the same. Performing both small and large scale Random Acts of Kindness is what we do. It's a great privilege to be able to work together with so many kind volunteers, companies and charities to make so many people happy. " From their website: "The Kindness Offensive has just finished staging ‘The Everyday Kindness Awards'. Rewarding unsuspecting members of the public for their acts of everyday kindness. The Kindness Awards ran for three consecutive days, in secret locations across London, on the 14th, 15th & 16th of August 2009. TKO organized kindness flash-mobs across the Capital, to celebrate the often ignored, but seldom forgotten acts of everyday kindness. All to commend the lovely people who make life in London that little bit brighter for us all!" Mayor of London Boris Johnson, officially commended The Kindness Offensive stating, "The Kindness Offensive project has brought immeasurable joy to many thousands of Londoners" .
